Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in Tech 👩‍💻

Coding Woman is an initiative that I started in 2018 to raise awerness on the issue of lack of diversity in computer science. It initially started as a blog to support women in tech, but over the years, it has evolved into something much bigger than it initially was.

Since then, I strongly advocate for underrepresented groups in tech and do my best to invest my free time to engage in voluntary activities.

  • I mentored at Django Girls and organized programming workshops for women. At the event, ~30 women without any coding background, build their first web application using HTML, CSS, Python and Django.
  • During my master’s, I joined the Social Media team of Women in CS @ TUM team lead. I created the brand color template and structured the design elements used for content creation. Additionally, I created and maintained the external website of Women in CS @ TUM, published event announcements and blog posts.
  • Later, I became the Events team lead and helped organize various events on careers in industry, Ph.D. advice, and study tips for exams.
  • In 2022, I was awarded a Gender & Diversity Grant by TUM to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration.
